Just read some truly awful news coming out from near Surat . horrific road accident near Uva-Manekpor village in Bardoli taluka on June 2, 2026 . And honestly, the details are just gut-wrenching .
This wasn't just small crash ah . It involved two Maharashtra State Transport (ST) buses and also one tractor. Reports say at least seven people have died and around 15 others are injured.
Apparently, the whole thing was like a catastrophic chain reaction . One bus going from Dhule to Surat first hit the tractor. This impact then sent the tractor crashing into another bus which was coming from opposite direction.
And this is where situation became even more tragic. The collision was so bad that one of the buses overturned multiple times. It then rolled down an embankment and caught fire.
Just thinking about passengers trapped inside a burning bus… it's just unimaginable . The rescue work must have been so difficult .
Emergency services like fire brigade and police officers rushed to the spot immediately . They had to battle the fire and at same time search for people who might be trapped in wreckage. A massive rescue operation was launched.
Few key points from this incident rn:
- Death toll is seven but authorities are saying it could go up as some people are in critical condition.
- Highway was completely jammed for hours, causing major traffic disruption .
- Police have started full investigation into how this even happened .
Around 15 injured individuals have been taken to different hospitals for emergency treatment . Officials are now trying to identify all the victims and figure out exactly what led to this whole tragedy. They are looking into the cause and if any rules were broken.
But every time something like this happens,it just brings back the same questions about road safety and transportation regulations on our highways . Especially with these big buses.
The community is in shock, and my thoughts are with the families affected by this . You leave home for a journey and never come back… it’s fear that feels too real today. Just hoping injured recover soon…
