This Rajasthan university case feels like one of those stories where appointment process itself becomes bigger controversy than actual post . On May 28, 2026,Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde removed Prof. (Dr.) Devswaroop from Vice-Chancellor position at Baba Amte Divyang University in Jaipur,and honestly,it is not small thing ah .
What makes this serious is that removal came after inquiry into alleged irregularities in recruitment during his tenure . This was not some random gossip also. A formal complaint was filed by an academic,after which whole appointment process came under scanner.
And from what inquiry found,Dr. Devswaroop allegedly violated set procedures by favouring certain candidates . That means norms of University Grants Commission (UGC) and internal university guidelines were allegedly bypassed,which is exactly where things start looking very uncomfortable.
