This fire news from Bengaluru honestly feels scary because it happened inside school building only . Chitrakoota Kaushalya School near Jnanabharathi in Bengaluru's Visvesvaraya Layout saw major fire on May 30,and situation could have been far worse .
Blaze reportedly started on fifth floor of school building, and it created panic in nearby area . But thankfully, school was closed for summer holidays,so there were no students or faculty present at that time .
And that one detail changed everything ah.
Preliminary investigation suggests fire was likely caused by electrical short circuit . It reportedly started in auditorium and then spread quickly across floor . Staff present in auditorium first noticed flames and somehow managed to get out safely before area was fully engulfed .
Emergency services then reached spot and three fire tenders were sent to control blaze . Firefighters worked for some time before bringing fire under control, and luckily,no injuries or fatalities were reported.
Few things standing out clearly in this case:
- Fire broke out at Chitrakoota Kaushalya School on May 30.
- Blaze started on fifth floor, likely due to electrical short circuit .
- No students or faculty were present because school was closed for summer holidays.
But this was not only fire incident being reported . In Belagavi district,a furniture showroom named SMK Furniture Shop in Sanganakeri Cross,Mudalagi taluk, was completely gutted by fire .
That fire reportedly broke out around midnight, and there was an explosion heard before flames spread rapidly through showroom . Furniture and materials worth crores of rupees are believed to have been lost, which is not small loss at all .
Security guard was sleeping outside showroom at that time and managed to escape unhurt . He alerted authorities after seeing flames, and firefighters reached quickly to control situation . Local Ghataprabha police have registered case and are investigating what exactly happened .
And in both cases, electrical short circuit is being looked at as likely cause, but Belagavi explosion part still feels worrying . How many such places are running with hidden electrical risks right now…
