Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, has now attacked Central government on May 30, 2026,accusing it of badly damaging India's education system after repeated exam issues hit students across country .
This came right after fresh reports about technical glitches during CUET-UG 2026 exam. These glitches were linked to systems operated by TCS at different examination centers, including those in Delhi and Bengaluru . For students sitting inside exam hall, this is not some minor inconvenience. Their whole year, mental peace, family pressure, everything is tied to that one screen working properly.
After disruptions,National Testing Agency (NTA) said affected candidates would get compensatory time and some afternoon examination sessions would be postponed . But at same time, students and parents are asking very basic question: why is this happening again and again?
And tbh, this anger is not coming from one exam only. NEET-UG 2026 entrance exam was cancelled because of serious paper leak allegations, leaving around 24 lakh aspiring medical students stuck in limbo. Imagine preparing for months, maybe years, and then suddenly entire exam becomes uncertain because system failed somewhere.
Few things standing out clearly in this mess:
- CUET-UG 2026 faced technical issues — affecting thousands of students during exam.
- NEET-UG exam cancellation — caused by serious allegations of a paper leak.
- CBSE evaluation concerns — included mismatched answer sheets and inconsistent marking.
CBSE also faced backlash over Class 12 board exam evaluation process, with complaints raising doubts about credibility of assessment methods. Mismatched answer sheets and inconsistent marking are not small errors when student's college admission, confidence and future direction may depend on marks .
Rahul Gandhi wrote on X,"NEET. CBSE. SSC . And today CUET. Four exams. One crore children. Not single one conducted with honesty." That line hit hard because it puts all exam controversies together in one frame, not as separate accidents but as bigger failure.
He also targeted Prime Minister directly, saying,"Claims of 'Vishwaguru' but can't conduct even one exam in the country -- Modi ji has completely ruined the entire education system." He warned that this generation of students would eventually ask government for accountability over their future.
And now protests are happening nationwide, with students and parents openly questioning whether India's exam system can be trusted rn. Government is under pressure to restore faith, but for many families damage already feels very personal. One cancelled paper, one technical glitch, one wrong evaluation… how many times can students be told to just adjust?
