This Haryana healthcare update actually feels like one of those announcements where people will wait to see real ground impact . Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini inaugurated and laid foundation for nine major healthcare projects on May 29 in Panchkula,and total investment mentioned is ₹100 crore.
And on paper,scale is not small ah. Government says 30 health institutions were inaugurated at cost of ₹22.29 crore,while 16 foundations for new facilities were also laid with value of ₹21.50 crore . For people living outside big cities,this kind of expansion matters if services actually work properly.
There was also announcement of rest house at District Civil Hospital in Sonipat,costing ₹6.45 crore . Honestly,this may sound like small facility to some people,but families waiting outside hospitals know how difficult such situations become.
Diagnostic side also got attention . MRI facilities have been introduced at district hospitals in Panipat and Kurukshetra,while CT scan services are coming at Sub-Divisional Hospital in Bahadurgarh and district hospital in Dadri,costing ₹10 crore and ₹12 crore respectively.
Few things standing out clearly in this announcement:
- "Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar" Clinics were launched in 23 district hospitals,with ₹0.34 crore annually.
- Free dialysis facilities were provided at Maharishi Chyavan Medical College and Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government Medical College,with ₹3.6 crore annually.
- Tele-ECG Services were implemented across 600 health institutions at annual cost of ₹3 crore.
And tbh,Tele-ECG across 600 health institutions is interesting because heart-related issues need fast response . If this system is handled properly,it can help patients in smaller areas get early support before matter becomes serious.
During event,Saini also spoke about progress in India's healthcare sector over past 12 years,especially under leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi . He said poor families earlier had to travel to major cities for treatment,and mentioned Ayushman Bharat plus expansion of medical colleges as big changes in healthcare delivery .
But at same time,people usually judge these projects by queue length,doctor availability,machine working condition and medicine stock . Big announcement is one thing,actual hospital experience is another thing only .
Another part of announcement was Amrit Pharmacies in 23 district hospitals,meant to provide affordable branded medicines to public . A disaster management training program for 4,600 ASHA workers was also launched with investment of ₹0.91 crore .
And now real question is simple . Will these new facilities stay active,staffed and accessible when ordinary patients walk in during emergency,or will this also become another nice-looking promise on paper…
