This Ghaziabad case is honestly very painful to even read . Surya Chauhan,a 17-year-old boy,was murdered in Khoda Colony area and now whole matter has become even more disturbing because locals are alleging he was denied emergency treatment over money .
And this is not small thing ah. After stabbing, local residents claimed nearby hospital refused to treat him because family could not arrange required ₹4 lakh . Just imagine being in emergency, child is bleeding, and first question becomes payment.
A local woman said,"The doctor refused to treat the child because they wanted us to pay ₹4 lakh. If they had wanted, the boy could have been saved but the poor family did not have that much money." That line only is enough to show why people are so angry right now .
But at same time, this case is not just about hospital allegation. It is also about violence among youth in Ghaziabad. Allegations have come out that accused had been threatening Surya before attack, which makes whole thing feel like warning signs were already there .
Few things standing out clearly in this case:
- Locals are demanding accountability over alleged refusal to treat Surya Chauhan.
- Residents are worried about safety and violence among youth in Khoda Colony area.
- Case has again raised serious questions about emergency healthcare access for poor families.
And tbh,if timely medical care could have saved him, then anger of people is completely understandable . No family should have to stand helpless because they cannot pay ₹4 lakh at that exact moment.
The community is now demanding justice not just for Surya, but also some real protection for local youth . Because if threats were already happening before attack, then people will obviously ask why situation reached this point.
But residents are also upset over lack of timely information from authorities . That frustration feels bigger than one case now, because people are connecting healthcare, safety and response system together .
Surya's family, already left without a father and struggling to make ends meet,is now carrying this pain also . And somewhere, this whole tragedy leaves one very uncomfortable question hanging… if poor family cannot get emergency help in time, then what are they supposed to do?
