Looks like Bengaluru is getting ready for some serious security for D.K . Shivakumar's swearing-in ceremony . The whole thing is happening on June 3,and the preparations sound intense.
Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh has made it very clear that only people with valid passes will be allowed to enter the venue at Lok Bhavan . This came after a big review meeting with senior police officials about security and traffic management.
And honestly, this level of control tells you how big this event is going to be.
They are changing traffic all over Bengaluru for this . The commissioner even said that all details for guest passes have been documented carefully and everyone should try to arrive early. They are advising people to be at venue before 2 PM only.
And good thing is,there are no plans for any roadshow, but police presence will be very high around area to keep everything secure .
Few things to know about the arrangements:
- Karnataka government has declared half-day holiday for employees in key govt offices to reduce traffic.
- Around 55 religious leaders from different communities, including seers and clerics, are invited.
- Major traffic advisories have been issued with restrictions on vehicle movement in many areas.
And tbh,it's interesting to see the guest list . It includes religious leaders from various faiths, like Muslim clerics and Christian priests, which is a clear message of inclusivity ah .
To make things smoother, government has given a half-day holiday for employees working at Vidhana Soudha,Raj Bhavan and other important buildings . This is mainly to help with security and ease the expected traffic jam. Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot has also been checking all preparations himself.
The main event is set to start at 4:05 PM at Glass House in Lok Bhavan . Final arrangements are happening rn to make sure it all goes smoothly.
With so much planning and security,it feels less like just ceremony and more like a massive public statement . You just hope everything goes off without any trouble for the common people…
