Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has now commented on equation between state BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon and former Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, and he is basically saying both seem to have parted ways .
Mann sounded curious about what exactly changed between them . His point was simple, from outside everyone can guess, but only Kewal Singh Dhillon and Capt Amarinder Singh know what actually happened in their relationship.
This whole thing came after Capt Amarinder Singh distanced himself from Dhillon’s appointment as party president . He said he played no role in that decision, and that one statement only made political buzz louder .
And Mann did not stop there . Talking about recent civic elections,he said BJP has gone down to fifth position, with even independent candidates doing better than them in many places . For any national party, that is not small thing ah.
Few points standing out from Mann’s remarks:
- Election results favored AAP and showed public sentiment moving away from BJP.
- Opposition parties like BJP,Congress and Akalis were questioned for not giving positive agenda .
- State polls were conducted fairly, with Mann praising government employees’ efforts.
Mann also said people of Punjab have rejected BJP’s negative agenda in a big way . According to him, opposition parties including Congress and Akalis also failed because they did not bring any constructive agenda before people.
But what is more sharp is his prediction for next Vidhan Sabha elections . Mann expressed confidence that AAP will secure majority, while Congress,Akalis and BJP will be left competing for lower ranks . That is bold political claim, especially in Punjab where voter mood can shift very fast.
He also highlighted that recent municipal elections were transparent, and even opposition candidates won in different wards . His argument is that if opposition people also won, then results are genuine reflection of public will, not some one-sided government show.
Mann said people have backed AAP’s pro-people policies again and again, pointing to victories in many elections over past four years . And maybe that is exactly why his tone is so confident right now .
Still,Punjab politics is never fully predictable . BJP struggling,Congress and Akalis being questioned,AAP claiming strong public trust… but what happens when next big election pressure actually begins?…
