Big political moment has come from Karnataka,and honestly,this one feels more emotional than routine party announcement . DK Shivakumar has been elected as leader of Congress Legislature Party (CLP),positioning him to become next Chief Minister of Karnataka.
And what makes this more interesting is that meeting was not some cold formal event only . Party leaders reportedly shared emotional words,showed solidarity and backed Shivakumar's leadership in one voice.
K.C . Venugopal,Congress General Secretary and Lok Sabha MP,said former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah proposed Shivakumar's name . That itself is big thing ah,because many people were expecting some internal tension or power struggle around this change.
Venugopal even said,'Everybody thought that this transition was going to be a trouble for Congress Party. However, Siddaramaiah proved that his decision aligns with the Congress and its High Command.' And tbh,that line clearly shows Congress wants to project full unity right now.

Leaders like Randeep Singh Surjewala and Priyank Kharge also spoke about staying together as party . Priyank Kharge described atmosphere as cordial and said,'It was conducive. Everybody will abide by decision of Congress High Command.'
And this is where Congress seems to be sending message that Karnataka development and progress will be focus,not internal fight . With Shivakumar at helm,party wants to strengthen leadership and connect better with voters before 2028 Assembly polls and 2029 general elections.
Still,real test will not be inside party meeting room . It will be outside,among people,when promises,expectations and election pressure start building again…
