This Kerala story is getting hotter by day,and honestly,it is not small political issue ah . Former Chief Minister of Kerala,Pinarayi Vijayan,now serving as Opposition Leader,is facing pressure because Enforcement Directorate investigation has now reached allegations linked to financial transactions involving his daughter,Veena Vijayan.
As of May 30,sources are saying ED is preparing to summon Veena for questioning . This comes after recent raids in Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi where officials reportedly recovered important materials connected to case.
At centre of whole matter is CMRL-Exalogic monthly payment case . Questions are being raised around financial dealings within CMRL organization,and ED seems to be looking beyond simple company-to-company transactions .
And this is where things get uncomfortable for CPI(M),because political heat is also rising same time only.
Few things standing out rn:
- Digital devices,including Veena’s phone,have been seized for forensic analysis.
- CMRL has filed High Court petition seeking stay on ED investigation amid ongoing scrutiny.
- ED has already frozen 242 bank accounts linked to case .
According to reports,ED is likely to seek final clearance from headquarters in New Delhi before formally notifying Veena for questioning . That means summons may not be just speculation anymore,it could become next big turn in this case.
Key evidence reportedly includes mobile phones and laptops seized from office and residence of CMRL Managing Director,S.N. Sasidharan Kartha . Forensic checks are going on to recover possible communications and financial records that may explain money flow under investigation.
ED is also tracing funds allegedly transferred from CMRL to Exalogic and related entities . And tbh,once bank accounts,devices and political names all come into same file,situation naturally becomes much more sensitive.
Political side is already heating up . UDF and BJP are expected to use this against CPI(M),especially if Veena is formally questioned . With 18 CPI-M workers already arrested for attacking ED officials,party leadership is clearly in difficult position.
Masappadi controversy is now sitting right in middle of Kerala politics,and question is whether this stays as legal investigation or turns into full political storm before anyone even gets clear answers…
