So Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has made one big announcement regarding his Jana Sena Party . And honestly,it's going to stir up Telangana politics for sure.
Speaking to media outside his Jubilee Hills residence,he declared his party will contest 2029 Telangana Assembly elections . He seemed very confident and made it clear he won't be scared by threats from rival political leaders.
And this is where it gets interesting ah.
Some people were apparently threatening him, saying he wouldn't be allowed to enter the state . His response was direct,he said "Telangana is an integral part of India." He also slammed the police for denying permission for a party meeting, but huge crowd of his supporters gathered anyway to cheer for him .
He also made some very strong statements challenging his critics . He asked them directly,"Is Telangana your father’s private estate? Who are you to threaten me?" This kind of talk really connects with his supporters.
Few things standing out clearly from his speech:
- Commitment to Telangana elections — Pawan Kalyan confirmed that Jana Sena will participate in 2029 elections.
- Call for constructive dialogue — He urged discussions on employment and governance rather than divisive politics.
- Rejecting threats — Kalyan challenged those threatening him, asserting his right to travel anywhere in India.
And tbh,he is trying to send a bigger message about unity . He talked about how regional hatred is "more dangerous than terrorism" and that he wants to bring Telugu speakers together,no matter which state they are in.
He also took aim at Congress party, saying some of their leaders have separatist tendencies . He expressed disappointment about how they handled bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, insisting that the problem is between politicians, not common people.
He finished by saying he has huge respect for Telangana's culture and history .
This whole thing feels less like a simple announcement and more like a challenge to existing political setup . With so much time before 2029,he is planting seed early... and now everyone is just waiting to see how other parties will react to this move .
