So now some CBSE officials have been transferred and we are supposed to believe everything is fixed . Seriously? This whole thing feels like a classic case of trying to distract from the real problem .
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also called it out on June 2,2026 . He said these transfers of the CBSE Chairman and Secretary are nothing more than a superficial gesture, just an "eye-wash".
And this is not some small issue ah . We are talking about the futures of around 18.5 lakh students who are affected by all this mess with the digital evaluation system .
But Kharge didn't stop there . In a post on X,he straight up demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan . He said that is the only step that will bring any justice to the students. He even said, "The Big Breaking is not this whitewashing; the Real News is Pradhan’s continuation despite all this!"
And tbh,he has a point. whole issue is with this On-Screen Marking (OSM) system which has been facing huge technical glitches and delays . It was meant to bring transparency but it has just created more chaos .
So now following the transfers, senior IAS officer Lokhande Prashant Sitaram is the new CBSE Chairman . And Varun Bhardwaj will be the new CBSE Secretary . Let's see if this actually changes anything on the ground.
Few things standing out clearly in this case:
- Top CBSE officials including Chairman and Secretary were transferred after controversy.
- Kharge called this move an "eye-wash" and demanded Education Minister Pradhan’s resignation.
- main problem is the failing On-Screen Marking (OSM) system affecting 18.5 lakh students.
And honestly, this is where things get really frustrating for students and parents . You study so hard, prepare for exams, and then the system itself fails you . It's just not fair.
The government has formed a one-member committee to investigate the problems with buying the OSM system . They say findings are expected soon, but people are very skeptical.
This whole crisis has become so big that it's not just about exams anymore . It’s about trust in the entire national education system. Just changing few faces at the top feels like temporary fix for much deeper problem…
