Key Takeaways

  • KYS demands independent probe into CBSE evaluation
  • Minister Pradhan assures strict action on lapses
  • Expert team tasked with improving portal stability

This CBSE evaluation mess is honestly not small thing ah,especially when it is about Class 12 students and their marks . Now Krantikari Yuva Sangathan (KYS) has raised serious concerns over technical flaws and evaluation discrepancies reported in On-Screen Marking (OSM) system used by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) this year.

And in statement released by Bhim Kumar,a member of KYS Delhi State Committee, the organization demanded thorough and independent investigation into ongoing evaluation crisis . They also talked about accountability and transparency in examination process, which feels fair because students are the ones carrying stress at end of everything.

After these issues,Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan held high-level meeting at CBSE Headquarters in New Delhi . Meeting was mainly to review problems linked to evaluation and post-result process after CBSE Class 12 examinations .

But this is where matter becomes bigger than just one portal issue . Sanjay Kumar,Secretary of Department of School Education and Literacy,Rahul Singh,CBSE Chairperson, and directors from IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur also attended, along with senior officials from Ministry of Education.

Few things standing out clearly here:

  • Pradhan directed officials to ensure timely and transparent resolution for student issues.
  • Government again said examination system should be student-centric and transparent.
  • IIT professors have been asked to review stability and performance of evaluation portal .

And according to details shared in meeting, nearly 18 lakh students appeared in Class 12 examinations this year . Around 98 lakh answer sheets were processed and nearly 40 crore scanned pages were involved. That number itself shows how massive this system is,so even small technical failure can affect huge number of students.

So far, approximately four lakh students have accessed around 11 lakh scanned answer sheets through online portal . Minister Pradhan said students' interests are government's top priority and that any negligence, whether systemic or individual, would not be tolerated.

At same time, issues like login access, server overload and payment difficulties on post-examination services portal are exactly kind of things that make students panic more . For many families, this is not just website glitch,it is admission pressure, career pressure and daily anxiety together.

A specialized technical team has now been formed to check portal stability, server capacity, login management and payment gateway integration so services do not keep breaking for students . Sounds good on paper, but students waiting for clarity rn will want actual fixes, not just meetings and statements…

And that is main discomfort here . When marks, answer sheets and future plans depend on digital systems, who takes responsibility when system fails midway…
