This story from Kerala is just something else ah . man just walks into police station after nearly 40 years and says he is murderer . It is unbelievable.
This person,Mohammed,a 55-year-old from Koodaranji,went to police on June 2 . And he just told them, “I have killed two people. Arrest me.” Can you even imagine being the officer hearing that?
At first,police were obviously very skeptical . Who wouldn't be? But they started looking into it and soon realized Mohammed's story was not some fantasy. His confession actually started solving a mystery that was buried for decades.
And tbh,this is where things get really heavy . Police confirmed one of the victims was man named Mohanan from Kannur district's Iritty area . He was apparently killed back in November 1986 . For so long,his case was just another cold file.

- It took almost a year,nearly 11 months,of digging through old documents and missing-person records to confirm everything.
- Mohammed apparently expressed huge relief when Mohanan was identified,showing how much guilt he was carrying .
And that feeling of relief is what's so strange about this whole situation . He said,“It was a grave mistake committed at an age when I lacked maturity and understanding.” He also said he is ready for any punishment .
But his own family,including his brother,initially dismissed his claims . They thought he was having some mental health problems or something. Now police findings have proved him right,and everyone must be in shock.
This whole investigation was a massive effort for the police . Going back 40 years,checking missing person files,all based on one man's word . They had to reconstruct the entire event from scratch.
