Was just scrolling and saw this interview of Jim Sarbh about his new show,and it was quite interesting ah . He was promoting Made in India: A Titan Story in Mumbai and started talking about books .
He said something very simple but very true . "I like to watch things I like. I like to read things I like." He also mentioned how important it is for him to have friends whose thoughts inspire him.
And honestly,that's such a relatable way to think about creative process.
Right now,he's apparently reading Confederacy of Dunces and David Sedaris's Me Talk Pretty One Day . He says these books help him in his work.
But the main news was about his upcoming series where he is playing Xerxes Desai,who was the former managing director of Titan . The show is basically about the whole journey of Titan,one of India's biggest consumer brands,all shown from Desai's perspective.
The whole story is adapted from book by Vinay Kamath called Titan - India’s Most Successful Consumer Brand . It talks about how brand grew in pre-liberalized India,which was completely different time economically and socially.
