So BJP is now hosting delegations from Nepal's political parties to teach them its own strategy . This is part of some 'Know BJP' initiative,and it's honestly quite an interesting development.
On June 2,2026,BJP National President Nitin Nabin met with a delegation from Nepal’s Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) . The whole point was to give them inside look at how BJP works .
Nabin apparently spent lot of time explaining party's organizational structure . He talked about how important grassroots engagement is for connecting with citizens and how BJP operates right from national level down to the booth level. And tbh,that is their biggest strength .
He also stressed strong and historic ties between India and Nepal,calling it a relationship rooted in shared culture and civilization . Which is true ah,the connection is very deep.
And the RSP delegation,which was led by Rabi Lamichhane,seemed really interested in all this . They were asking about BJP’s membership process and how they select candidates for elections.
Few things that stood out from this meeting:
- Focus on grassroots engagement — Nabin explained BJP's strength comes from sustained public outreach.
- Emphasis on youth involvement — They even discussed growing influence of Generation Z in shaping politics.
- Tour of BJP facilities — The Nepalese delegation visited the BJP Media Centre and Central Library for insights.
Then the conversation shifted to governance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi . Nabin described it as a model that prioritizes development,public service,and effective welfare delivery . He argued this is what good governance is all about.
The meeting ended with a lunch attended by other senior BJP leaders too,like Arun Singh and MPs Sanjay Jaiswal and Bansuri Swaraj . Seems like a pretty high-level interaction.
This whole thing feels like more than just a friendly meet-up . It's like BJP is trying to showcase its governance model and organizational skills to other parties in South Asia.
