Just read about another devastating accident in Uttarakhand,and it's really heartbreaking . A vehicle just plunged into deep gorge,and the details are so scary.
This happened on June 2 in the Devprayag region . Apparently vehicle with eight people inside fell around 200 meters into a gorge near Ganga Hotel Darshan. That is not a small distance ah.
The car,with registration number UK 08 TA 5433,was going to Haridwar when it seems the driver lost control . All the people on board,including driver,were reportedly from Rajasthan . Just imagine,coming for a trip and this happens…
And immediately after the news broke,teams from local police,the Revenue Department,and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) rushed to spot to start rescue operations.
And tbh,this is the part that always gets me . rescue work in these mountain areas is just so difficult .
So far,they have recovered three bodies,but five passengers are still missing . One person was luckily rescued and has been taken to hospital in Srinagar for treatment. Thank god for that one life saved at least.

The rescue is being described as very tough because the vehicle is in spot that is just hard to access . SDRF teams from Srinagar,Vyasi,and Dhalwala were all sent to help . The first team on site was a six-member SDRF team from Vyasi who started the work immediately.
This is not even an isolated incident . Just a few days back,another serious accident happened in Rudraprayag district where three people lost their lives when their vehicle also fell into a gorge. It feels like we are hearing this kind of news too often from state.
Every time something like this happens,you just feel for the families waiting for news . It makes you think about how unpredictable life can be,especially on those mountain roads…
