Collector Dr. Yogesh Tukaram Bharsat of Jhabua district,Madhya Pradesh has now started strict action after surprise inspections found teachers and staff missing from local schools .
And this is not small thing ah . Schools are supposed to be place where children actually come,teachers actually teach and basic administration actually works . But inspections across high schools and primary schools reportedly showed negligence in attendance and school management.
At Government High School Kardavad Badi ,situation looked especially bad because no students were present and one teacher was absent without any prior notice . Imagine inspection team reaching school and finding no students there… that itself says lot about how casually things were being handled .
Similar problems came out at Primary School Gehlar Badi where in-charge was absent,and at Government Boys Higher Secondary School,Pitol where multiple teachers were missing . Dr. Bharsat made it clear that this kind of laxity in education sector would no longer be tolerated.
Few things standing out clearly here:
- Immediate suspension was directed for a habitual absentee teacher and two Class IV employees .
- Government Girls Secondary School,Pitol was praised for excellent attendance rates.
- Show-cause notices were issued to various institutions where lapses were found .
And honestly,that contrast is also interesting . On one side,some schools are struggling with absent staff and poor attendance,while Government Girls Secondary School,Pitol stood out with high student attendance and dedicated teaching staff .
Dr. Bharsat also said teachers at Government Girls Secondary School,Pitol would be honored for their commitment to education . That recognition matters because sometimes good teachers keep doing their work quietly while whole system gets bad name because of careless ones .
He also pushed for regular communication between teachers and parents so student attendance can move toward 100% . That part feels very practical because attendance problem is not solved by school alone or parents alone,both sides need to keep checking.
But bigger question is this: if surprise inspections are finding so many gaps now,then what was happening all this time before someone decided to look closely…
