One Western Disturbance triggered such powerful storm that many districts suddenly went from clear sky to full gray darkness.
Wind speeds reportedly touched 102 kmph,which is not small thing ah . Areas like Churu,Hanumangarh,and Sri Ganganagar were badly hit,with people suddenly forced to switch on vehicle headlights during daytime only because visibility had dropped so much.
And this is what makes it more unsettling . Many residents were caught off guard because storm came so suddenly . Traffic slowed down,roads became risky and normal movement got disturbed in matter of minutes.
In Jaipur's rural areas,rain and hail came along with storm . After so much scorching summer heat,some people may have felt relief from rain,but at same time,it also brought damage in pockets .
Few things standing out clearly in this storm:

In Ratangarh,lightning struck rooftop water tank and caused structural damage to terrace wall . Reports of uprooted trees and power outages also started coming from many places,which made situation more difficult for residents already dealing with dust and strong winds.
And then there was that dramatic Chomu near Jaipur incident caught on CCTV . tin shed was ripped from shop and thrown onto service road . Luckily,a nearby pedestrian narrowly escaped injury,but just imagining that scene is enough to understand force of wind .
Meanwhile,in Jaisalmer,dust storms hit local markets and streets became deserted as people ran for shelter . Meteorological Department warnings for heavy rain and strong winds were also sounded across Phalodi,Jodhpur,and Nagaur,showing how wide this system had become.
Satellite imagery later confirmed rapid movement of storm across state,and government stayed on high alert while monitoring situation closely . But honestly,even if rain gave some relief from oppressive heat,this kind of weather turns everything uncertain in few minutes…
And that is the worrying part now,how many more such sudden storms are people supposed to be ready for…
