Sooryavanshi has already created huge noise after his IPL 2026 season,where he scored 776 runs at strike rate of 237.31 . That also included 72 sixes,which is just mad for someone so young.
And this was not just normal big-hitting season also . His 72 sixes broke previous record held by Chris Gayle for most sixes in a single IPL season . When you are crossing Chris Gayle type record,conversation changes only .
Tendulkar spoke about him at the Cricinfo Honours event in Mumbai and said,"Everyone is talking about Sooryavanshi, and I watched him bat - it was magnificent. He is something truly special." Coming from Sachin,this kind of praise carries different weight .
But what stood out was that Tendulkar was not only impressed by power hitting . He pointed to Sooryavanshi's wrist work,his reading of game and his ability to pick right line and length before clearing ropes comfortably .
