Not just because big names came in,but because local players also seem to be getting proper stage now.
Six franchises were part of auction, including Ranchi Titans and Koylanchal Super Kings, and all of them had ₹50 lakh budget cap . From looks of it,teams did not sit quietly at all . Everyone wanted strong squad before matches start.
Big talking point was Ishan Kishan going to Santhal Strikers and Robin Minz joining Koylanchal Super Kings . These are not small names ah,so naturally fans are already expecting some proper T20 drama .
And league is scheduled to commence on June 10 . JSCA is clearly trying to make this more than just another local tournament . Idea seems to be giving young Jharkhand players chance to play around experienced cricketers and feel pressure of real competition.
Few things standing out from auction:
- Six franchises spent aggressively within ₹50 lakh budget cap.
- Ishan Kishan was picked by Santhal Strikers and Robin Minz by Koylanchal Super Kings .
- JSCA is expecting league to push cricket development in Jharkhand .
Ajay Nath Shah Deo,JSCA President, also sounded very upbeat about whole thing . He said,"This is an exciting new chapter in Jharkhand’s cricketing journey." And tbh, that line will make sense only if tournament actually gives proper chances to local boys, not just big-name spotlight .
But Sanjay Pandey, vice president of JSCA,also backed same idea and said,"The league will bring high-quality,competitive T20 cricket to fans across the nation." Saurabh Tiwary,Secretary of JSCA,went even more hopeful, saying this could uncover India's next cricketing superstar.
And that is where real interest is now . Auctions are exciting, team names sound good, big players bring attention… but actual value will come when unknown local talent performs under lights and pressure .
For Jharkhand, this can become something meaningful if handled properly . Or it can become just another flashy tournament people forget after few weeks . June 10 onwards,we will know which side it goes…
