Not disagreement,not criticism,but straight vulgar and indecent remarks becoming normal for attention ah,that is not small thing .
Madan Rathore,the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Rajasthan,has publicly denounced recent remarks made by RLP MP Hanuman Beniwal . His point is simple:some politicians are using language which has crossed acceptable limit.
And he is not wrong to question this trend. Political fight is part of democracy,that is understood . But when leaders start using vulgar words just to get media coverage and stay visible,it damages whole public discussion .
Rathore said opposition is natural in democracy,but dignity and civility should not be thrown out . He also warned that public representatives must remember their post and responsibility while speaking in public.
One line from him stood out more,where he said current political rhetoric needs “purification” to restore public trust in political institutions . Strong word,but tbh,it shows how frustrated BJP side is with this kind of language.
Few things clearly coming out from this controversy:
- Madan Rathore condemned abusive language and stressed need for civility in politics .
- He urged media to discourage indecent political discourse instead of amplifying it.
- Other BJP leaders also backed call for decorum in public life.
Former BJP State President Ashok Parnami also echoed Rathore's sentiments . He said maintaining linguistic decorum is responsibility of every public representative,and called Beniwal's remarks against Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma condemnable .
Jawahar Singh Bedham,Minister of State for Home,also criticized Beniwal’s language and called it inappropriate for elected representative . And honestly,this is where debate becomes bigger than one comment only .
Because this is not just about Hanuman Beniwal or BJP reacting to him . Across Indian politics,language in public debate has become sharper,rougher and sometimes openly insulting . Supporters may clap in moment,but public trust slowly takes hit .
And maybe real question is this:if leaders themselves stop caring about dignity while speaking,then what standard are ordinary people supposed to expect from politics now…
