Rain, thunderstorms, hailstorms, strong winds… relief is there, but at same time, this weather is not looking simple at all .
India Meteorological Department (IMD) has already warned that severe weather may continue for coming days . So yes, temperature may come down, but now concern has shifted toward crops, livestock, roads and daily movement.
Heavy rainfall with gusty winds is expected in several districts, including Mandsaur and Neemuch on May 30-31 . IMD has reported wind speeds reaching up to 60 kmph, which is not small thing ah,especially when thunderstorms and loose structures are involved.
And isolated heavy rainfall is also expected in places like Gwalior,Datia, and Bhind . Thunderstorms are likely to continue until June 3 across many districts,so this is not one-day weather event only .
Few things standing out clearly rn:
- Gormi in Bhind district recorded highest rainfall of 72 mm .
- Authorities have warned residents about thunderstorms and strong winds .
- Farmers have been advised to take precautions for crops and livestock .
As of May 30,many areas had already seen good amount of rain . Gormi was on top with 72 mm,followed by Narwar (44 mm),Tendukheda-Narsinghpur (38 mm),and several other places in 15-29 mm range .
But hailstorms in districts like Shivpuri and Morena are worrying part . Rain helps farmers, but hail can damage standing crops very quickly, and that is exactly why authorities are asking people to stay alert.
Residents have also been advised to stay hydrated, secure loose objects, and avoid unnecessary travel during peak storm periods . Sounds basic, but during sudden wind and rain, these small things matter a lot.
Early monsoon should ease heatwave conditions and may help agriculture overall . Still, with northern limit of monsoon steadily progressing and more regions likely to get rain, question is how much relief comes without damage this time…
