National Defence Academy (NDA) will hold it on May 30 at Khadakwasla facility in Pune, and whole setup already sounds quite intense .
A full dress rehearsal has already been conducted before main event, and from details coming out, skies above Khadakwasla were properly alive with aircraft sounds . Su-30 MKI fighter jets,Sarang Helicopter Team and Akashganga Skydiving Team were part of rehearsal display.
And this is one of those events where discipline, coordination and timing matter so much . One small error in parade or aerial display can become big issue,so rehearsal is not just formality only .
Vice Admiral Anil Jaggi, the Commandant of NDA,oversaw rehearsal and checked how different parts were being executed . With 355 cadets set for commissioning into Indian Armed Forces, this is also emotional moment for families, trainers and cadets themselves .
Few key things standing out here:
- 150th Passing Out Parade (POP) will be held on May 30 at Khadakwasla facility in Pune.
- Convocation ceremony will take place on May 29 at Habibullah Hall .
- General Upendra Dwivedi,Chief of Army Staff, will be Reviewing Officer.
Before actual parade, convocation ceremony on May 29 will recognise academic achievements of cadets . That part sometimes gets less attention compared to marching and flypasts, but it matters because NDA is not just about physical training,it also shapes officers mentally.
And then comes aerial display, which clearly will be main attraction for many people watching . Su-30 MKI Fighter Jets,Chetak Helicopters,Sarang Helicopter Aerobatics Team and Akashganga Skydiving Team are expected to be part of it,and honestly, that combination itself sounds powerful.
The Akashganga Skydiving Team doing precision jumps will also add that extra thrill . These displays are not only for show, but also kind of reminder of what training, control and confidence look like when done at highest level.
But beyond aircraft and ceremony, there is another feeling here . 355 cadets walking out from National Defence Academy (NDA) into Indian Armed Forces means 355 different journeys starting from same ground at Khadakwasla . Big day for them for sure, but also one of those moments where you wonder what kind of responsibilities they are stepping into next…
