Looks like Madhya Pradesh Cabinet is making some really big moves rn . They've announced a whole bunch of initiatives for villages, schools and farmers.
One major decision is giving registered title deeds to about 48 lakh villagers under SVAMITVA scheme . This is huge thing ah,because for long time people in villages have struggled with property ownership proofs. This will help them get bank loans and hopefully reduce all those property fights.
And they are not just talking, they are putting serious money behind it . According to Chetanya Kumar Kashyap, the state MSME minister, government is investing over ₹3,800 crore to make sure people get these deeds without any financial burden.
But then there's the change in school uniform policy, which is interesting . They are ditching Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system and will now give stitched uniforms directly to students from grades one to eight .
And honestly, this makes so much sense. That old DBT system was just not working, especially in tribal and rural areas where kids weren't getting uniforms on time . Now they say local garment industries will be involved through tenders to give good quality, consistent uniforms .
Lots of other things were announced too .
- Healthcare budget of ₹17,000 crore is allocated for medical colleges and postgraduate seats.
- District Court building in Indore, one of the largest in state, has revised cost of ₹626 crore.
- Farmers’ Year initiatives saw record wheat procurement of 10.4 million tonnes.
The government is also focusing a lot on agriculture . This year was called 'Farmers’ Year' and they've set a national record by procuring 10.4 million tonnes of wheat . That’s the highest in the country, with over 1.3 million farmers participating .
Payments of around ₹25,000 crore have already been sent out, which is great news for small and marginal farmers . After a dip during COVID-19,MP has now become second-largest wheat procurer in India, just behind Punjab. Now registration for Moong and Urad crops has also started.
And that healthcare budget is not small thing . ₹17,000 crore to continue schemes for medical colleges, build new ones and increase postgraduate seats . This is definitely needed .
So many big plans and big numbers being thrown around . The announcements all sound good on paper, but real test is always the implementation on the ground… will it all reach common person as intended…
