So some pretty big decisions came out of Madhya Pradesh Cabinet meeting on June 2, 2026 . They're touching on everything from village property to school uniforms and even healthcare. A lot to unpack here.
First up is this SVAMITVA scheme which honestly sounds like a game-changer for many people . plan is to give registered title deeds to about 48 lakh villagers. For so many families, this is first time they will have formal ownership of their land.
And this is a huge deal ah. Having a registered document means they can finally access bank loans using their property as collateral . Plus,it should cut down on all those endless property disputes that go on for generations .
The government is apparently investing over ₹3,800 crore to make this happen . According to the MSME minister,Chetanya Kumar Kashyap, the goal is to give these registered documents to people at no cost. Getting it for free is best part only .
But they didn't stop there . They're also changing how school uniforms are given out . Instead of transferring money to accounts, they will now directly produce and give stitched uniforms to students from grades one to eight. They say this is to make sure kids in remote tribal and rural areas actually get good quality uniforms on time.
Few things standing out clearly from this meeting:
- Free Land Titles for Villagers — The SVAMITVA scheme aims to provide registered land ownership to 48 lakh villagers .
- Direct Supply of Uniforms — School uniforms will now be produced and distributed directly to students in grades one through eight.
- Healthcare Investment — Continued funding of ₹17,000 crore for medical colleges, enhancing educational opportunities for healthcare professionals.
And then there’s healthcare sector . They are continuing with three major schemes for medical colleges, with a budget of ₹17,000 crore . This money is for building new medical colleges and also for increasing postgraduate seats .
The Cabinet also looked at other projects, like the new District Court building in Indore . project cost for that has been revised to ₹626 crore, which is massive amount .
On agriculture front,it seems like a good year for farmers . The state has apparently set national record in wheat procurement with 10.4 million tonnes . Payments of around ₹25,000 crore have already been sent to over 1.3 million farmers. Now they are getting ready for Moong and Urad crop procurement too .
So many different announcements all at once . It feels like push to improve things on multiple levels, from the individual villager to the bigger state infrastructure .
All these plans look really promising on paper, but real challenge is always making sure these benefits reach right people without delays or problems…
