So big day for Karnataka is almost here and it looks like Bengaluru is getting ready for a huge event ah . The swearing-in ceremony for D.K. Shivakumar is set and entire city seems to be on high alert.
And this whole thing is happening on June 3 at Lok Bhavan . In preparation,they have established extensive security arrangements all across Bengaluru. They are clearly not taking any chances.
The Bengaluru Police Commissioner,Seemanth Kumar Singh,announced that thorough review meeting was held with senior police officials . They discussed everything,security protocols,traffic management,and law-and-order arrangements for ceremony itself .
Apparently,only individuals with valid passes will get entry into Lok Bhavan,and they have issued various categories of passes to selected invitees . The Commissioner also mentioned that traffic adjustments have been made in several areas to handle all the guests,including many VIPs from across country.
And honestly,it’s good there is no information about any roadshow linked to the event . That just keeps focus on the ceremony and makes security much easier to manage.
Few things standing out clearly from the arrangements:
- Half-day holiday declared for government employees to ease traffic congestion.
- 55 seers and clerics have been invited to attend ceremony.
- Traffic restrictions are in place to manage all the vehicle movement during event.
But it’s not just the police . Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot personally reviewed the preparations at Lok Bhavan,making sure everything is in order for the big day.
Shivakumar's oath-taking is scheduled for 4:05 PM inside the Glass House of Lok Bhavan . They are saying event is expected to be conducted simply,without any extravagance,which is interesting. Focus on significance of the occasion only.
Special seating has been made for families and supporters of key political figures,with separate passes for VVIPs,VIPs,and general invitees . And all attendees are advised to arrive before 2 PM to make sure entry is smooth .
With so much planning and security,and a half-day holiday just to manage traffic... it feels like whole city is just holding its breath for this one day . Wonder what the atmosphere will actually be like…
