As the release date for his upcoming film approaches, Imtiaz Ali shared insights into the architectural elements showcased in ‘Main Vapas Aaunga’. The narrative is set in Punjab, specifically before the 1947 Partition, and revolves around a poignant love story. Ali noted that the film captures the architectural ruins of Punjab, a reflection of the region's tumultuous past. He explained, "Most of the remarkable architecture has not survived the violence that Punjab has faced over the centuries."
During a promotional interview with IANS, Ali elaborated on the significance of the film's setting, stating that they aimed to highlight structures that existed before 1947. He mentioned, "Since the film is set in 1947, we were looking at buildings and places that predate 1947." The film not only aims to entertain but also to evoke a sense of nostalgia and cultural reflection among viewers.
