Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Giribala Singh on May 28,shortly after Madhya Pradesh High Court revoked her anticipatory bail . That court decision allowed CBI to move ahead with investigation,and from there things happened quite fast.
Before medical examination,CBI officials questioned Singh for nearly seven hours at her residence in Katara Hills area of Bhopal . Team reportedly reached her home around 10:30 AM with strong police presence,and that itself shows how carefully they were handling situation.
After arrest,Singh was taken to Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) campus in Bhopal for medical examination arranged by authorities . CBI officials also visited residence of Principal District Judge Manoj Kumar Srivastava to formally inform him about Singh's arrest . Court also mentioned disturbing claims that Twisha faced pressure to terminate her pregnancy . This part makes case feel even heavier,because it is not just about one incident anymore,it is about what she may have gone through before her death.
Twisha Sharma died on May 12,just months after her wedding on December 9,2025 . Her death has again brought dowry harassment and domestic violence into focus,and people are angry because these stories keep repeating in different homes,different cities,same pain only.
CBI is expected to present Giribala Singh before court on May 29,and investigation is still moving . But bigger question is still hanging there… how many signs were visible before Twisha's death,and who all chose not to see them…
