Things are getting really serious in Ghaziabad's Khoda region right now . The district administration has started something called 'Operation Clean Sweep' and it looks like they are not messing around .
And this whole thing is happening after that very tragic murder of 17-year-old Surya Pratap Chauhan, which has completely shaken local community. urgency is very high because of that case .
District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar Mandar himself visited Khoda to check on things . He said,"In light of directives from the Chief Minister,we are intensifying our efforts to combat criminal activities throughout state, and Khoda is focal point for these efforts." So basically, they are checking everything now, landlords, tenants, properties.
And honestly, this feels like a massive response to the law and order situation there.
As part of this operation, they have already sealed three madrasas which were apparently running without proper registration with the Madrasa Board . One of them was named Madrasa Rahmania Arabia Qasim-ul-Uloom . This is not small thing ah .
Few things standing out clearly from this operation:
- Three madrasas sealed because they were not registered with the Madrasa Board .
- Door-to-door verification is happening to identify people with criminal backgrounds.
- Police visibility has been increased, they even did a flag march in the area .
This whole crackdown got even more intense after the murder of Surya Pratap Chauhan, who died from stab wounds . The main accused in that case,Asad, was later killed in a police encounter, which only escalated situation further. Now Police Commissioner J. Ravindra Gaur is supervising extensive searches across Khoda .
The DM,Mandar, also made it clear this is not a one-time thing . He said, "We will ensure that no property harbors criminal elements and that law and order is maintained effectively in Khoda." They are promising to continue this until all illegal activities are stopped .
But you have to wonder what the atmosphere in Khoda is like rn . With so much police presence and door-to-door checks, people must be feeling a mix of safety and maybe even fear… it’s hard to say how this will all play out for community in long run…
