Central Board of Secondary Education ( CBSE ) has announced that its Post-Result Activities portal will officially launch on June 1,and this is mainly for students who feel something may be off in their marks .
Once portal opens, students can apply for verification and re-evaluation of answer sheets . Basically,if someone thinks marks were not counted properly or some answer needs another look, there is now formal online route for that.
As per board, verification will include retotalling of marks at fee of ₹100 . For rechecking specific questions, students will have to pay ₹25 per question . Not huge amount maybe, but for students already anxious about future admission, this process matters ah.
And at same time,CBSE is saying whole system is meant to be transparent and efficient . That sounds good on paper, but students will judge it by how fast and clearly their concerns actually get handled .
Few things students should note clearly:
- Portal will be operational from June 1 for re-evaluation and verification applications.
- Fees are ₹100 for retotalling and ₹25 per question for rechecking.
- CBSE's Tele-Counselling Helpline is available to help students with queries.
This portal is coming after approximately four lakh students accessed around 11 lakh scanned answer sheets through CBSE’s existing online facilities . That number itself shows how many students are not just accepting marks silently and moving on.
There were also earlier technical issues during post-result process, and this came up in recent review meeting chaired by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan . He directed CBSE officials to ensure transparent process and timely resolution of student grievances .
Nearly 18 lakh students appeared for Class 12 examinations this year,so even small confusion can become big pressure for families . Marks decide college plans, course options, and sometimes whole year mood only.
And now real question is whether this new portal will actually make things smoother for students,or just become another system they have to keep checking again and again…
