So AIADMK's Edappadi K . Palaniswami is not holding back at all against the new government in Tamil Nadu . He has raised some very serious questions about the law and order situation under Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay .
And his main point is that crime,drug trafficking,and violence against women are getting out of hand . He seems really unhappy with how the newly-elected government is handling things .
He specifically brought up one very tragic case of a 23-year-old youth,Vishnu,in Chennai’s Tondiarpet area . Apparently,the boy was brutally killed just because people accused him of selling ganja. This is not small thing ah.
Palaniswami then directly questioned the government's entire approach,asking,"Is murder the solution when someone is suspected of involvement in narcotics? Is this the change that was promised to people?"
And tbh,that’s a very sharp question to ask .
He also pointed out some comments made by Chief Minister Vijay during an event in Tiruchirappalli . He feels the CM was trying to shift blame for these failures onto officials instead of taking responsibility himself.
Few things Palaniswami is highlighting:
- Delay in launching 'Lioness Task Force' which was supposed to be for women's safety .
- Government accountability is a must,and they can't just evade it .
- Ruling party members themselves are reportedly involved in serious criminal allegations .
And honestly,this is where things get uncomfortable. If your own party members are being accused of crimes,it really weakens your position on law and order.
The whole 'Lioness Task Force' thing also sounds bad . Palaniswami is asking why it was postponed even when preparations were already done. People were waiting for it.
Basically,the AIADMK leader is saying that Tamil Nadu is seeing a big decline in public safety and Chief Minister needs to stop the political talk and actually govern properly . The safety of citizens has to be the first priority only.
So now you have these serious accusations from opposition,and a growing concern about what is actually happening on the ground . It feels like more than just politics…
