This Indore case is honestly very painful to even read, because it is not just one sudden incident . Anita,an 18-year-old married woman, took her own life by hanging at her home in Palakhedi Kankad area of Indore on evening of June 20,2026 .
Police reports say Anita had been married for approximately two years . And what makes whole thing heavier is suicide note found at scene, where she seemed completely broken under family pressure and expectations.
In that note, she wrote,"What can I do to make you all happy? You all want me to leave him, but I cannot do that. Before leaving my husband, I must leave this world. I am repeating this mistake. Please forgive me. I am not worthy of any of you, which is why I am leaving forever."
And tbh, this line itself shows how trapped she must have been feeling . Not worthy of anyone, leaving forever… these are not small words ah,these are signs of someone drowning emotionally.
Few things standing out clearly in this case:
- Anita was 18 years old and had been married for approximately two years .
- Suicide note was discovered at scene and mentioned her struggle to meet family expectations .
- A year prior,Anita had also attempted suicide, but was saved due to loose noose.
Reports also say there was family confrontation before tragedy . Anita allegedly brandished knife to scare her younger brother,Rohan, into leaving house before she took extreme step . That part feels very disturbing, because it suggests situation inside home had already reached very tense point .
Family members reportedly said Anita had been in contact with young man from their village . After her text messages were discovered, her father had tried to resolve matter by visiting Indore, but Anita continued communicating with same individual using her father's phone.
And this is where whole situation becomes complicated and sad at same time . Family distress, relationship pressure, marriage expectations, young age, emotional isolation… everything seems to have piled up on one person .
Mental health support is still treated like last option in many homes, not first response . Especially for young women, where family honour, marriage decisions and personal feelings all get mixed together badly.
Now one family is left with questions, one young life is gone, and people around will keep asking what exactly could have changed before June 20, 2026 …
