This Gorakhpur case is honestly very difficult to even read . A nine-month-old girl,sleeping next to her mother,goes missing in early hours and later gets found in such condition… what can anyone even say after that?
The incident reportedly happened in early hours of June 21, 2026 . Family says infant was sleeping beside her mother,but around 2 AM they realised she was missing. After that,panic started and everyone began searching through village and nearby fields.
And after hours of searching,they found her around 500 meters from home,near a tin shed in field . She was bleeding and in severe pain . Family rushed her to community health center,but her condition was considered critical,so she was shifted to BRD Medical College for advanced medical care.
And honestly,this is where anger comes naturally. This is not some normal crime story ah,this is about nine-month-old child . Medical examinations later confirmed nature of assault,and whole community is now in shock .
Few things standing out in this case:
- A 12-year-old male relative of victim has been arrested in connection with crime .
- Investigators found over 50 obscene videos and several searches for pornographic websites on accused's phone .
- Police say further investigation is going on and legal action is being prepared.
Police investigation reportedly found that accused had recently come from Chandigarh . At first,he gave inconsistent statements,but later confessed to crime,according to police.
Superintendent of Police (City) Nimesh Patil confirmed that child is getting necessary medical treatment . But at same time,this case has opened very uncomfortable questions about child safety inside homes,inside families,and inside communities only .
Community leaders and child welfare advocates are now asking for more vigilance and preventive steps. And yes,that sounds obvious,but after such incident,it also feels painful because action usually comes after damage is already done .
Tbh,the most disturbing part is age on both sides. A nine-month-old victim and 12-year-old accused. That itself raises so many questions about exposure,parenting,phones,pornographic content,and what children are watching without anyone noticing.
