This Vijayawada case is getting darker day by day,and honestly,it is not small thing ah when family is alleging custodial torture,death and disposal of body . The name at centre is Gade Sai Krishna,and now Special Investigation Team has stepped deeper into matter.
On June 22,2026,SIT under Inspector General of Police M. Ravi Prakash recorded statement of his mother,G. Vijaya Lakshmi,at their home in Krishnalanka . She reportedly explained what family says happened after her son was taken into custody by local police on May 9 .
And this is where whole case becomes very disturbing . Family is saying Gade Sai Krishna was tortured in police custody,that this led to his death,and then his body was disposed of . These are not casual allegations,these are the kind which can shake public trust completely .
Because of tension around case,security has also been increased in Krishnalanka . Authorities seem to be expecting unrest,and that fear is not coming from nowhere only.
At same time,local residents came out on streets and blocked National Highway in support of suspended Circle Inspector,S.S.V.V. Nagaraju,who is facing serious allegations linked to this case . Traffic was disrupted for some time,and whole scene showed how emotionally charged this matter has become.
Few key things standing out here:
- Andhra Pradesh High Court had directed local police to produce Gade Sai Krishna by June 15,and again by June 29 after they failed to comply.
- A four-member team was formed on June 21 for investigation outside NTR Commissionerate.
- This is second serious allegation against S.S.V.V. Nagaraju after recent case involving suicide of Perupogu Kranthi Kumar,linked to harassment.
On June 18,Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu ordered suspension of Nagaraju and started legal proceedings against him . After that,police and forensic teams examined Krishnalanka police station and burial sites,and also checked CCTV footage for evidence.
And tbh,this case is no longer just about one police station or one officer . It has become about how custodial cases are handled,how quickly authorities respond,and whether families can actually get straight answers when someone disappears after police custody .
