This one from Tirupati is honestly heartbreaking . Early on June 22,2026,a normal bus journey turned into disaster on Kadapa-Renigunta road (NH-716) near Udumuvaripalli village in Tirupati,and three people lost their lives,including nine-month-old child and two teenage girls .
The accident happened around 1:30 AM when APSRTC bus travelling from Kadapa to Tirupati collided head-on with truck coming from Erraguntla to Chennai . That timing itself feels scary,because most passengers would have been half asleep or fully asleep only.
Police and eyewitness accounts are suggesting that truck driver likely fell asleep at wheel . And if that is true,then one moment of drowsiness has ended lives and injured many others . Not small thing ah .
The right side of bus was extensively damaged,which shows how severe impact must have been . The deceased have been identified as Puneeth Sai (nine months),Yashwitha (17),and K . Jaswika (16),who later succumbed to injuries .

But tbh,most uncomfortable part is what came out in initial investigation . Insurance and permit for APSRTC bus had expired three years ago . Three years is not small gap,and now after such tragedy,this detail will obviously raise serious questions about checks,inspections and responsibility .
Minister Reddy has called for immediate action to prevent such accidents in future,with focus on safety measures and regular inspections of public transport vehicles . But for families who lost Puneeth Sai,Yashwitha and K. Jaswika,all these actions are coming after worst thing already happened…
And this is where question stays hanging,how many such vehicles are still running on roads without anyone noticing until tragedy happens…
