This Indore case is really worrying because school food issue is not small thing ah . 62 students from Shishukunj International School in Madhya Pradesh fell ill after eating meal given during Yoga Day celebrations, and honestly, parents getting angry here is fully understandable .
Reports say alarming situation came out on June 22,2026 ,when children started having severe stomach pain and vomiting soon after returning home . Imagine sending child for school event and then same day rushing to hospital.
Many parents had to take their kids to local hospitals and clinics immediately . Doctors reportedly diagnosed cases of food poisoning, gastroenteritis, and dehydration . Few children were also said to be in serious condition because continuous vomiting had left them very weak.
And this is where whole matter became bigger than just one bad meal . Parents gathered outside school premises and protested, with video footage showing large crowd confronting school officials and demanding answers over alleged negligence in food safety.
Few things standing out clearly in this case:
- 62 students from Shishukunj International School fell ill after meal during Yoga Day celebrations.
- Parents are demanding independent inquiry and testing of leftover food samples.
- School had faced previous safety issues too, including chemistry experiment accident.
Many parents are now scared to send children back to school, and attendance reportedly dropped next day . That fear is natural because once trust breaks in school safety, bringing it back is not easy only .
Parents’ representatives have approached local authorities asking for proper inquiry and full testing of food and water quality . Local health officials are now examining whether illness came from contaminated food or water.
School management has not released any official statements while anger is growing around them . And honestly, silence in such situation makes parents even more restless because they want direct answers, not waiting game .
At same time, this incident feels even more serious because it comes after earlier student safety lapses at same school . Now health department findings will decide what actually happened, but parents are already asking bigger question… how safe are children inside school events at all?
