One minute people are heading to Delhi,next minute aircraft are being sent to Jaipur because visibility and weather just refused to cooperate .
Among those diverted was charter flight carrying Karnataka's outgoing Chief Minister Siddaramaiah . He was travelling from Bengaluru to Delhi when poor visibility and deteriorating weather forced aircraft to land at Jaipur International Airport instead.
The flight landed safely,but naturally security at Jaipur Airport was tightened after his arrival . Not everyday that such political movement and weather chaos land together at same place .
Siddaramaiah was not travelling alone either . He was accompanied by nine individuals,including Karnataka Minister K.J. George and Congress leader Randeep Surjewala . And timing made whole thing even more interesting because this diversion happened same day he submitted his resignation .
And tbh,that is why this was not just airport news . His resignation has already started lot of political speculation around Congress leadership in Karnataka,and then this Jaipur diversion added one more dramatic visual to already tense day.

During press conference,he said,"I will remain in state politics. The people have elected me for five years,and two years are still left." That line is important because he clearly does not want people thinking he is stepping away from Karnataka politics rn.
Meanwhile,Jaipur Airport itself saw sudden rush as many Delhi-bound flights were redirected there . Air India flight from Coimbatore to Delhi was among first ones diverted,then several other flights from different places followed because Delhi-NCR weather had strong winds and reduced visibility.
And honestly,this whole day had two separate storms moving together only . One was actual dust and wind around Delhi,and other was political uncertainty around Siddaramaiah's resignation… what happens next in Karnataka is still hanging there.
