This happened in Bratislava during his visit from June 14 to June 16,2026 . And this was also first visit by Indian Prime Minister to Slovakia since its independence in 1993,so obviously moment had extra weight.
But what stood out for many people was not just meetings or formal photos,it was Thekua . Sweet from Bihar going all way to Slovakia as diplomatic gift… that is not random ah .
Thekua is made from wheat flour,jaggery,fennel seeds,and ghee . In Bihar and Jharkhand,it is deeply loved,especially during Chhath Puja festival . So when Modi chose this instead of some generic gift,it felt like regional India also got seat at table.
