Looks like BJP is going into full organisation mode in Uttarakhand, and this three-day visit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi 's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Nitin Nabin is clearly not just courtesy trip . Starting May 28,this feels like party checking its ground network, leaders, workers and messaging all at same time.
Nitin Nabin is set to reach Dehradun on evening of May 28,where party workers will welcome him at state BJP office on Balbir Road . After that,he is expected to meet state core committee first, and then hold discussions with members of Council of Ministers.
And honestly, this kind of schedule says lot . Not one public event and done, but back-to-back internal meetings where party tries to see who is doing what on ground.
On second day,Nabin will meet Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at his residence to discuss state governance and party strategies . That meeting will probably be watched closely because Uttarakhand politics always has this mix of governance, image and organisation pressure .
Few key parts of visit stand out:
- Nitin Nabin will begin three-day organizational visit to Uttarakhand from May 28 .
- He will meet Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and also visit late former Chief Minister B.C. Khanduri's residence for condolences.
- On final day,he will address intellectual meeting on “Building Viksit Bharat 2047” with focus on higher education.
But visit is not only about closed-room politics . Nabin is also expected to attend “Maa Ganga Aarti” in Rishikesh and interact with spiritual leaders at Parmarth Niketan . In Uttarakhand, this cultural and religious connect is not small thing ah,and BJP clearly knows that .
Then on May 30,he will meet booth-level workers and youth representatives before wrapping up trip . These booth workers are the real election machinery in any state, and parties usually don’t ignore them unless they want trouble later .
The “Building Viksit Bharat 2047” meeting also shows how BJP wants to connect bigger national vision with local intellectual circles . Higher education angle is interesting, because youth and educated voters are always being pulled into these development conversations.
Still, behind all these meetings and visits, one question stays open . Is this just normal organisational review,or is BJP already quietly preparing Uttarakhand ground for next bigger political fight…
