NEET UG 2026 re-examination finally happened on June 21,2026 ,and honestly, you can feel how heavy this day must have been for students . More than 22.79 lakh medical aspirants across India and abroad sitting again for same big pressure exam is not small thing ah.
National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted test in single shift from 2 PM to 5:15 PM . Paper had 180 questions from Physics,Chemistry, and Biology, totaling 720 marks . On paper it sounds standard, but students coming out of centres clearly had mixed feelings.
Most reactions were around same line — exam was moderate, but slightly more challenging than previous attempts . And tbh, that “slightly” matters a lot in NEET because even few tough questions can change rank pressure completely.
Physics seems to have troubled many candidates . Students said it was lengthy,calculation-heavy,and needed proper time management . One candidate said,“The exam was quite moderate. Physics was quite lengthy. A little bit tougher than last time. Biology was good, and Chemistry was moderate.”
That pretty much sums up mood outside many centres . Biology was seen as good and scoring by many, though time-consuming for some . Chemistry looked moderate, not too scary, but Physics ate up time for many students .
Few things standing out clearly from student reactions:
- Physics identified as toughest subject — Candidates noted it required extensive calculations .
- Biology considered scoring — Despite being time-consuming, many found it straightforward.
- Smooth examination conduct — NTA ensured strict security and no major disruptions were reported.
In Srinagar also, one candidate gave similar reaction and said,“The paper was very good. My preparation was very good, only Physics was a little difficult. Otherwise,it was good overall.” That “only Physics” line is probably what many students are feeling rn.
At same time,NTA had put enhanced security measures in place, including CCTV monitoring and signal jammers . Re-examination reportedly went ahead without any major disruptions or technical issues, which at least allowed candidates to focus on paper instead of centre chaos .
Still, even if exam was manageable, students know one lengthy section can quietly damage overall attempt . Now everyone will be replaying Physics questions in their head, checking answers, calculating possible marks…and waiting with that same nervous hope…
