Madhya Pradesh weather is honestly feeling like one confusing mix right now . Heatwave is not leaving properly, and at same time thunderstorms are also being predicted by India Meteorological Department (IMD) till June 26.
And main reason seems to be delayed arrival of southwest monsoon, which is now running a week behind schedule . So people are stuck with humidity, rising temperature and sudden rain alerts all together, which is not small thing ah .
IMD has issued heatwave alerts especially for Jabalpur,Rewa, and Sagar divisions . These areas are already facing uncomfortable weather, and with humidity sitting heavy in air, even normal daytime movement becomes exhausting .
On June 22,hot winds are expected in Narsinghpur,Jabalpur,Mandla,Umaria, and Dindori during daytime . But by evening, thunderstorms and rain are predicted,so relief may come, but in that unpredictable way only.
Few things standing out clearly in this weather update:
- Thunderstorms expected across 21 districts — including Jhabua,Alirajpur,and Dhar .
- Heavy rainfall recorded — Raisen saw 61 mm of rain, while Bhopal experienced significant afternoon showers.
- Temperature extremes observed — Datia recorded a high of 40.6°C,while Pachmarhi was the coolest at 32.2°C .
And tbh, this is exactly why weather is feeling so irritating for residents . Bhopal,Indore,Gwalior, and Ujjain are also bracing for hot and humid conditions,so even places getting some clouds are not fully escaping discomfort.
Some rain has already been reported in Satna,Jabalpur, and Seoni, but heat is still intense, especially in Datia . IMD data shows few districts got rain, but overall humidity is still high, and that makes heatwave feel even worse on body.
This kind of hot and humid weather also brings health risk, especially for vulnerable populations . People who work outside, elderly persons, children, and anyone already unwell can face real trouble if heat keeps dragging like this .
Looking ahead, southwest monsoon is expected to enter Madhya Pradesh after June 25 . Forecasts also suggest it may advance into Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra by June 23,so everyone is basically waiting for monsoon movement to finally settle things .
IMD is closely watching situation and will keep giving updates as conditions change . But for now,Madhya Pradesh is stuck between hot winds, sticky humidity, sudden rain and delayed monsoon… and people are just waiting to see when this weather finally breaks.
