Kumari Festival is coming up again in Kanniyakumari,and honestly,this sounds like one of those events where culture,tourism and local pride all get mixed together in nice way . From June 26 to 30,Triveni Sangamam is going to be main spot for this celebration .
M. Prathap,the District Collector,has said Tourism Department will organize festival and aim is to bring both local people and tourists together . And that part matters because Kanniyakumari is already one place where tourism is not side thing,it is part of identity only.
Festival will run with cultural performances every day from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. . That timing itself feels good because evening crowd,sea breeze,lights,performances… whole atmosphere can become memorable if organized properly .
And Collector Prathap also spoke about improving tourist experience at places like Muttom,Lemur Beach,Pechiparai dam,and Thirparappu falls . These are not small names ah,these places already have pull,but proper attention can make visit much better for people coming from outside.
