Kheer Bhawani Mela 2026 saw huge devotion this year at Mata Kheer Bhawani Temple in Tulmulla,Ganderbal district,Jammu and Kashmir on June 22, 2026 . And honestly, these kind of gatherings still carry very deep emotion for Kashmiri Pandit community.
Thousands of devotees came together to pay homage to Goddess Ragnya . People were seen taking part in prayers, rituals and traditional offerings, with many seeking blessings for peace and prosperity.
And at same time, this was not just normal temple visit kind of scene . For many families, this Mela is connected with memory, identity, faith and return to roots in very personal way.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha was also among attendees . He offered prayers and interacted with gathered pilgrims, while also expressing well wishes for devotees and praying for welfare of all residents.
Few things stood out clearly in this year’s Mela:
- Thousands of devotees attended, with people from across country joining celebrations.
- Traditional offerings of kheer were presented to Goddess Ragnya as part of rituals.
- Kheer Bhawani Temple remains major pilgrimage site for Kashmiri Pandits.
The Kheer Bhawani Temple is also known for its sacred spring, which devotees believe changes color . Many people see this phenomenon as divine sign,so naturally it adds another layer of faith around whole place.
This year, participation came from both local devotees and people travelling from distant places . And tbh, that says something about how strongly community still holds on to this tradition, even after everything it has gone through.
The atmosphere around temple seemed peaceful and reflective, with people bonding through prayers, offerings and shared culture . Not everything about such gatherings can be measured by numbers only ah .
And maybe that is why Kheer Bhawani Mela 2026 feels more than just annual festival . It becomes one quiet reminder of faith, culture and belonging in Jammu and Kashmir… and how these bonds keep surviving somehow…
