Janhvi Kapoor is again in news, and this time it is not just about glamour or promotions . It is about how far actor should actually go for role, and honestly, her answer sounds very intense.
She has been around since Dhadak in 2018,and whatever people may say,she has clearly tried to pick different kind of parts after that . Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl and Mili were not exactly easy comfort-zone films, and now Peddi seems like another attempt to push herself .
In recent interview, when she was asked how much effort is too much for an actor,Janhvi said,'Oh, I think nothing is too much.' That one line says lot about how seriously she is taking her work rn.
And then she added,'For your art,if you feel convinced and if you feel strongly about story and your role and the message, then give your life for it.' Big statement ah,because saying this in film industry is one thing, but actually living that process during shoot is different pressure only.
Few things standing out clearly here:
- Peddi releases on June 4 .
- Janhvi Kapoor stars alongside Ram Charan in film directed by Buchi Babu Sana .
- Ram Charan plays crossover athlete moving between cricket, wrestling, and sprinting.
What makes this more interesting is that Janhvi herself admitted she was not really sports-inclined while growing up . She enjoyed dancing, but sports was not exactly her natural zone. So doing sports action drama like Peddi is not small shift .
But then again, being daughter of late superstar Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor, people always look at her with extra expectations . Sometimes unfairly also. Every role becomes comparison, every performance gets judged with family name sitting in background.
And maybe that is why her “nothing is too much” line feels personal . Like she is trying to prove something not just to audience, but maybe to herself also.
Peddi has Ram Charan,Buchi Babu Sana, sports angle, action drama, and Janhvi trying one more new space . Whether this commitment actually shows on screen or just sounds good in interview… that question is still hanging there…
