So India has once again put its foot down, this time over some joint statement from Pakistan and the EU. Our government has firmly rejected what it called "unwarranted references" to Jammu and Kashmir .
This whole thing started after the 8th Pakistan-EU Strategic Dialogue which was held in Islamabad . In that meeting,Pakistan apparently briefed EU on the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
And honestly, this is such a predictable move . Trying to bring up an internal Indian matter on an international platform.
But our Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson,Randhir Jaiswal, made India's position very clear during media briefing . He stated that Jammu and Kashmir, along with Ladakh, are integral and inalienable parts of India. That's it. End of story .
He also stressed that no external entity has any right or reason to comment on the internal affairs of India. This has been our consistent stand for long time.
Few things to note here:
- India's response was decisive, rejecting the references as "unwarranted".
- official line is clear: J&K and Ladakh are integral parts of India, not up for discussion.
- Pakistan's attempt to internationalize the issue is what triggered this sharp response.
And this is not some new reaction ah. India has done this before also. They had to say the same thing when similar comments were made during meeting between Chinese and Pakistani leaders not too long ago.
It's a consistent policy,and tbh,it's the right one.
The MEA has been very clear that no other country has "locus standi" to comment on this. Basically,it's none of their business. This is about our territorial integrity.
You just see this cycle repeat again and again . Pakistan raises issue somewhere,India issues a strong rejection. It makes you wonder what end game is for them…
