This Hindi promotion meeting story may sound routine at first, but honestly,it says lot about how government is again pushing language use inside official work . On May 29,2026,Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal chaired meeting focused on increasing use of Hindi in official communication .
And this was not just some small internal chat also . Meeting had total of 20 members, including MPs and legal experts, under Hindi Salahkar Samiti (Advisory Committee) . Main discussion was about how Hindi can be used more effectively inside Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.
Members were asked to share suggestions and views on practical ways to implement Hindi in day-to-day official work . Names like Manoj Tiwari,Aparajita Sarangi, and Sangeeta Yadav were part of discussion, and they also gave their perspectives.
But what stands out is that participation was not limited to only current government people . Advocate Pravirkumar Guharay and others who are not currently serving in government also joined and shared inputs . That part makes meeting feel slightly wider than usual official formality.
Few things clearly came up in meeting:
- Review of previous meeting's action items from August 2025.
- Focus on promoting Hindi in official communications.
- Inclusive participation from MPs,legal experts and other members.
And yes, there was also review of what happened after previous meeting held in August 2025 . That means they were not just discussing fresh ideas, but also checking whether earlier points actually moved forward or not . Accountability angle was there.
Minister of State, along with Secretary of Ministry Nikunj Bihari Dhal and other officials, acknowledged efforts being made to promote Hindi as official language . This is where language policy becomes more than paperwork, because implementation inside government offices is always real test ah .
At end,Dr. Satya Prakash,Additional Secretary, thanked Arjun Ram Meghwal and all members for their contributions . He also said suggestions given in meeting would be considered for future actions.
And still, bigger question stays open . Promoting Hindi in official work is one thing, but how smoothly it can be balanced with India’s many languages and everyday administrative reality… that part is still not so simple…
