Honestly, whenever big entrance exam comes near, police restrictions around centres become serious matter because even small disturbance can create big stress for students.
For National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2026,Cyberabad police have issued notification effective on June 21,2026 . Main order says no gathering of five or more persons will be allowed within 200-metre radius of all NEET exam locations under their jurisdiction.
And this is not small thing ah. Parents, locals, random crowds, coaching people, everyone usually gathers around exam centres on such days . So banning groups near centres clearly shows police want complete control outside venues .
Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Ramesh has also ordered that all photocopy and internet centres within 100-metre radius of examination venues must stay closed during exam period . Restrictions will remain in force from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m . on exam day.
Few key points from order:
- Gatherings of five or more persons banned within 200-metre radius of NEET exam centres.
- Photocopy and internet centres within 100-metre radius to remain closed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Police officers, military personnel,Home Guards on duty,Education Department flying squads and funeral processions are exempt.
And tbh, closing photocopy and internet centres near exam halls makes sense in today’s situation . Exam-related rumours,leaks,printouts,last-minute chaos… authorities clearly don’t want any such mess happening near centres.
Police presence will also be heightened, with officers on duty to enforce restrictions . Authorities have warned that any violation can lead to prosecution under relevant laws,so this is not just advisory type announcement .
But at same time, students already carry so much pressure for NEET . Medical entrance in India is already emotionally heavy for families, and now entire area around centres will feel like high-security zone only.
Still,if rules help students write exam peacefully, then many parents may support it . Question is whether enforcement will stay smooth on ground without creating extra panic outside centres…
