And reason is not some technical failure or anything dramatic . Main issue is station spacing . Metro stations are approximately 1 km apart,so train barely gets time to speed up before it has to slow down again for next stop .

S Krishna Chaitanya,Managing Director of Metro Project,explained this in very direct way,saying,"Nowhere does a Metro run at its design speed. average speed would be 40 to 45 km per hour." And fair enough,this happens in metro systems worldwide,but still for passengers hearing 90 km/h and then getting 45 km/h feels like expectation vs reality moment.

Current Bhopal Metro is running between AIIMS Metro Station and Subhash Nagar Metro Station . As of now,there are total of five trips in one direction and four in opposite direction. Service hours are also limited from 11 AM to 5:50 PM daily,which honestly may not suit many office-goers or regular commuters .

But at same time,people will ask simple question ah — if city is expanding and traffic is already becoming problem,then why are services still so limited? From 11 AM to 5:50 PM feels more like trial comfort zone than full commuter-friendly system.

Bhopal Metro can still become very useful for city,but speed limitation and restricted timings may affect first impression badly . Maybe once more passengers start using it,operations will adjust better… or maybe public will keep waiting for Metro to match real daily needs…
