Bengaluru North Division police carried out one early Sunday morning operation which honestly feels like clear message to rowdy-sheeters in city . Not routine warning type thing, but surprise raids across 13 police station limits.
Police targeted total 97 rowdy-sheeters,people already known for involvement in different illegal activities . And when police land up at houses early morning,it is not small thing ah.
Operation was led by Deputy Commissioner of Police (North Division) Nemagouda . Police teams visited residences of these offenders and collected details about what they are doing now, their current occupations and whether they are attending court properly in ongoing cases.
And this part matters because many times cases keep running, but accused people casually skip hearings or ignore legal process . Police checked pending legal actions, outstanding warrants and proclamation proceedings also .
Few things clearly came out from this operation:
- Surprise raids conducted across 13 police station limits targeting 97 rowdy-sheeters .
- Police reviewed pending cases, outstanding warrants and proclamation proceedings.
- Offenders were warned to attend hearings, cooperate with legal process and avoid unlawful activities .
The police also gave stern warnings that if anyone gets involved again in criminal activities, strict action will follow . Basically message was simple: don’t think system has forgotten old cases .
And tbh, residents in many parts of Bengaluru have been worried about rowdyism and violence for some time . So when police do such raids,it creates some confidence, but also shows how serious problem has become.
At same time, raids alone cannot fix everything . If court attendance, monitoring and follow-up become weak later, then same people may again return to old activities only.
But for now,Bengaluru North Division police seem to be pushing one strong signal that rowdyism will not be ignored . Question is,whether this pressure will continue after headlines fade…
